About me
I am a Person Centred Counsellor working with adults and young people (15+).
I have many years of experience in the NHS.
I offer face to face as well as online including Zoom and telephone counselling. You will have a confidential space to talk about difficult thoughts and feelings, to help you gain some clarity and understanding.
Sessions are focused on what you wish to share, encouraging your autonomy and individuality, to enable you to feel truly heard. I offer an empathic, non-judgmental approach.
I’ve worked on my own issues with a Counsellor and I know how daunting it can be to open up. It has helped me work through my feelings of low self worth and confidence issues, to gain a clearer understanding of who I am.
I believe we all have a natural striving towards reaching our potential. Growth happens in the right conditions. Talking things through with someone neutral can help you to gain a different perspective on situations and relationships. Counselling can help you gain clarity and understanding in your experiences, increase self-awareness as well as self-acceptance and feel more empowered in your life.

Experience
I have experience in the following areas; relationship breakups, family addiction, domestic abuse, bereavement, isolation, anxiety, depression, OCD, low self-esteem, self-harm and eating disorders.
I’ve worked through my own issues with a counsellor so I can appreciate how daunting it can feel to open up to a stranger. The therapeutic relationship helped me to develop feelings of trust, as well as understanding how I see myself, and the world around me.
I can work with any issue but if I feel it is appropriate I can also refer you to a colleague who may be more experienced in a particular area.
